  • We are seeking an experienced and motivated Housing Development Manager to join our small, mission-driven Property and Housing team. Our focus is simple and powerful: to grow and sustain a high-quality housing portfolio that enables people with a learning disability to live safe, fulfilling lives in their own homes.

This is a key role in delivering our housing growth ambitions across England, Northern Ireland and Wales - ideally you will be Midlands based so that you are well located for the travel required as part of this role. You will secure new homes through a range of delivery routes, including freehold acquisitions, leasing arrangements with housing providers and private landlords, and housing management agreements where partners retain ownership.

Working collaboratively with internal colleagues and external partners, you will identify opportunities, undertake feasibility appraisals, negotiate heads of terms, and take schemes from initial concept through to completion and handover. You will bring a strong understanding of housing association development practice, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

We are looking for someone with proven experience in housing development, acquisitions or growth within a housing association, local authority, charity or similar organisation. You will be confident assessing financial viability, managing budgets and business cases, and negotiating agreements with partners and landlords. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential, alongside the ability to align housing delivery with care and support priorities.

Most importantly, you will share our commitment to delivering high-quality, specialist housing and demonstrate a proactive, solutions-focused approach in a growing and evolving organisation.

If you are driven by purpose and want to play a meaningful role in expanding housing opportunities for people with a learning disability, we would love to hear from you.

If this position sounds like you then please apply now by uploading an up to date CV and answering our application questions.

*Please note*The application closing date for the role will be on 23rd March. First stage interviews will be held via TEAMS on the 31st March or 1st April with second stage interviews to follow.
