We are looking for volunteers who are confident in driving and want to help some of the people we support to increase their access to their local area. Does this sound like you?
Our service in Penzance supports around ten residents with learning disabilities, and we often struggle to transport them to access the community. If you could spare some time you could make a massive difference by enabling them to do this.
About the people you will driving (what team/service are they from?)
The role would involve driving a person/some of the people we support a short journey. Perhaps from their home or activity centre to nearby locations and back.
As a volunteer driver, you would need to be over 21 and have a full driving licence. Ideally you would have access to your own vehicle. By volunteering with us you will be helping local people with a learning disability access their community, so you will be making a huge difference!
When do I need to be available?
The days and times required for the role is flexible depending on both your availability and the needs of the people you will be driving. If you can only a little time, please do get in touch as anything would help.
