  • Our Personal Support (PS) team is at the heart of Mencap’s mission - delivering personalised, high-quality support that helps people with a learning disability live life as they choose. 

    We’re on an exciting digital journey to enhance the way we support the people we work with. We’re committed to improving the systems and processes that underpin the care we provide including how we record and share key information that is vital to delivering the most effective care to people we support. This role will largely be focussed on the What Matters Most App (WMMA) - a tool that helps our teams record information, access support plans and share updates more easily and securely. 

    To make this vision a reality, we’re looking for a Business Change Manager to lead the way. 

    This is an opportunity to be part of something truly meaningful - bringing people together, building confidence in new ways of working, and ensuring this change delivers real value for the people we support and the colleagues who care for them every day. 

    You’ll act as the bridge between our digital development team, our PS colleagues, and senior stakeholders. You’ll make sure the project stays on track, the developments are right for our users, and that everyone involved feels informed, supported and empowered along the way. 

    What You’ll Do 

    No two days will be the same - but your work will include:

    • Guiding the delivery of improvements relating to What Matters Most App and processes, ensuring it meets the needs of our colleagues and people we support.
    •  Partnering with stakeholders across Mencap to shape the vision, goals and success measures for the project.
    •  Overseeing plans, budgets, risks and progress to make sure everything runs smoothly and delivers the right results.
    •  Supporting colleagues through change - helping them understand, adopt and feel confident using new ways of working.
    •  Championing clear communication so that everyone feels informed and included in the journey.
    •  Driving learning, reflection and continuous improvement so we can keep getting better together.

    What You’ll Bring

    •  Curious and practical - you enjoy finding better ways of doing things and turning ideas into action.
    •  Calm under pressure - you can balance priorities and adapt as plans evolve.
    •  Tech-confident - you’re comfortable using digital tools like Microsoft 365 and exploring new systems.

    Experience of using Agile ways of working on large-scale change initiatives, improvement projects or digital rollouts would be a great advantage, especially in a people-focused or service-based environment, or other relevant setting.
