Are you caring, enthusiastic and passionate about helping people live happy, fulfilling and independent lives?
We are looking for Support Workers to join our team in Bourne, supporting people with learning disabilities across our supported living services and individuals in their own homes.
No two days are the same in this role. The people we support enjoy a wide range of hobbies and interests, including baking, arts and crafts, football, knitting, DJing, attending day centres, going to the local disco, visiting family and friends, shopping and enjoying a trip out for tea and cake. You will support people to enjoy the things they love, try new experiences and be an active part of their community.
Your role will involve providing person-centred support with everyday activities such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and opening post, as well as supporting with appointments, medication, personal care and manual handling where required. You will also support individuals in line with their positive behavioural support plans, always promoting choice, dignity and independence.
As our services provide 24-hour support, shift patterns can vary. Shifts can run between 7:30am and 10pm, with weekend working on a rota basis. The role also includes sleep-in shifts, so flexibility and a willingness to work a varied shift pattern are important.
We are looking for people who are kind, patient, reliable and genuinely passionate about making a difference. Previous experience in care or supporting people with learning disabilities is beneficial but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
This is a rewarding opportunity to build meaningful relationships and help people achieve their goals, develop their independence and live life on their own terms.
