Mencap Volunteer Visitor (Baking Buddy - St Agnes)

Are you a positive person with a bubbly personality? Do you enjoy a little bit of baking? Are you looking for a volunteering opportunity where you can make a real difference to the life of a person with a learning disability?

We support a fun loving woman in St Agnes who would love a volunteer to visit for a bit of a bake (her favourite is strawberry cheesecake)! Or maybe head out for a bit of lunch or a mooch around the shops.

Visits are every 2 months, and would likely be around 2-3 hours.

Expenses will be reimbursed, including an allowance for Christmas and birthday gifts.

Experience with learning disabilities is not necessary for this role, a bright personality is much more important! The ability to drive would be useful.

She is such a joy to be around, you won't regret giving it a go!

As a volunteer you could be doing some of the below:

• Pruning and cutting back shrubs
• Creating flower beds
• Cutting the grass, weeding, and potting planters
• Having conversations around the next project the people we support would like to see in their gardens
