Are you someone who loves being out and about, getting involved, and making a real difference every single day? At Mencap, we're looking for a passionate and caring Support Worker to join our team part time (30 hours a week) supporting five incredible individuals who are full of personality. The people we support enjoy an active lifestyle, your days can include trips to the swimming pool, visiting the zoo, trips to the cinema, arts and crafts, cooking, movie nights, board games, and regular visits to see family. One person we support is a keen gamer, so if you know your way around a console, that’s a big plus! This is a vibrant and rewarding role where you’ll be helping people live the lives they choose, supporting them with daily routines including personal care, community activities, and SALT (Speech and Language Therapy) plans.
Our shift patterns can vary from early mornings to late evenings, with sleep-in shifts running from 10pm until 7am. Weekend working follows a 2 on, 1 off rotation, giving you balance and time to recharge. Because all the people we support love getting out into the community, being a driver with access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
If you're compassionate, reliable, and ready to bring positivity into people’s lives, we’d love to hear from you. In return, you’ll receive full training, development opportunities, and the satisfaction of knowing you're making a real difference. Apply now and become part of something truly meaningful with Mencap.
