We are looking for a passionate and self-motivated Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Coordinator to join our Birmingham Supported Internship team on a part-time, job-share basis, working 22.5 hours per week over three days.

As an EHCP Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination of the EHCP review process for both existing and potential new learners. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including local authorities, parents/carers, and the learners themselves, to ensure EHCPs are high-quality, up to date, and completed in a timely manner in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
You will also play a key role in recruiting a specific number of learners to the programme each academic year by building relationships with referral sources and attending events. This will involve making informed decisions on suitable candidates based on observations, written documents, and contributions from families and the learners themselves.
This role requires strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to meet targets and timescales.
Do you have the skills and requirements for the EHCP Coordinator?
- A positive attitude and enthusiasm for supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
- Experience in EHCP review processes
- Experience working with young SEND learners
- Experience delivering against targets
- Strong communication, record-keeping, and organisational skills
- The ability to manage different situations in a timely and sensitive manner
- The ability to build professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- GCSE English and Maths grade A-C/9-4 or equivalent
