At Mencap we're committed to making the UK the best place for people with a learning disability to live happy and healthy lives. You’ll be part of a values-driven organisation that is brave, kind, inclusive, positive and passionate!

You will also play a key role in recruiting a specific number of learners to the programme each academic year by building relationships with referral sources and attending events. This will involve making informed decisions on suitable candidates based on observations, written documents, and contributions from families and the learners themselves.

This role requires strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to meet targets and timescales.

Do you have the skills and requirements for the EHCP Coordinator?
    • A positive attitude and enthusiasm for supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)

    • Experience working with young SEND learners
    • Experience delivering against targets
    • Strong communication, record-keeping, and organisational skills
    • The ability to manage different situations in a timely and sensitive manner
    • The ability to build professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders
    •  GCSE English and Maths grade A-C/9-4 or equivalent
