    🤝 About the Role

    As a Visa Compliance Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting Mencap’s Resourcing Team and Visa Compliance Officer to ensure we meet our responsibilities as a sponsoring employer. You’ll help maintain visa and immigration compliance, provide administrative support, and respond to recruitment queries.

    This is a full time (37.5 hours per week), permenant position. Here at Mencap we understand that some of our office based colleagues can do their role from a range of locations, which is why we like to be flexible. We only ask for this role that you can commit to at least one full day in our Peterborough office per month, plus any meetings that are arranged in advance.

    🔍 What will you do?

    • Conduct Employment Checking Service (ECS) checks to verify right to work status in line with Home Office guidance.
    • Ensure compliance with visa and immigration policies and procedures.
    • Respond to visa and resourcing enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
    • Support the management of right to work checks for new starters and current employees.
    • Handle non-complex immigration queries and escalate complex cases appropriately.
    • Work closely with the Visa Compliance Officer to deliver a supportive service to colleagues and managers.
    • Report to the Resourcing Manager and collaborate with the wider resourcing team.

    🧠 What will you bring?

    • Strong understanding of UK Right to Work legislation.
    • Knowledge of the UK Sponsorship process, especially the Skilled Worker Healthcare visa route.
    • Effective communication skills with a balance of bravery and kindness.
    • Familiarity with HR systems, particularly Zellis My View.
    • A values-driven mindset with a commitment to inclusion and equity.
    • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
