Do you have a learning disability and/or lived experience of a learning disability? *

Are you interested in supporting people to make Thanet an even better place to live and work in? 

Do you enjoy meeting new people?

Are you excited to find out new things about your area and what it has to offer?

Be able to work from home or to visit places/groups in Thanet.

This job is for someone with a learning disability. You will work on a project called Our Active Community in Thanet, helping make it easier for people with learning disabilities to stay active in the local area.

The role is 7.5 hours per week on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2027

The ideal person will know about the Thanet area, enjoy physical activity, want to make the community more active and be comfortable talking to new people. 

The person in this role will:

  • Help plan the Our Active Community project
  •  Talk to people in the community and listen to their ideas
  •  Attend and promote local events, meetings and other activities
  •  Share their own experiences and those of others
  •  Help improve people's lives and make sure everyone can join in activities.
