We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to join us every Tuesday from 9:30am to 12:30pm, supporting our lively daytime activity sessions for people with a learning disability at Mencap.
No two Tuesdays are the same, you might find yourself getting stuck into gardening, exploring arts and crafts, helping with cooking, and much more. As a volunteer, you’ll play an important role in setting up activities, chatting with attendees, encouraging participation, and helping to create a warm, welcoming environment where everyone feels included.
You don’t need any prior experience in the activities we run just a positive attitude, a willingness to get involved and an open mind.
If you enjoy meeting new people, trying new things, and making a genuine difference in your community, we’d love to hear from you.
The Skills you will need:
- Friendly and approachable
- Able to take instructions
- Reliable and patient
- Able to work as part of a team
As a weekly activity support volunteer, you will need to provide us with two references and a DBS. By volunteering with us you will be helping local people with a learning disability have fun, learn new skills through activities, and you will be making a huge difference!
