We are looking for an experienced legacy fundraiser to join our team as a Senior Legacy Marketing Officer

At Mencap, we’re passionate about making the UK the best place to live for people with a learning disability. Our friendly and ambitious Legacy Fundraising Team plays a vital role in helping achieve that vision – and we’re looking for a creative and driven person to help us grow our legacy giving pipeline and build meaningful supporter relationships.

What you’ll do

As our new Senior Legacy Marketing Officer, you’ll lead on the planning and delivery of inspiring cross-channel campaigns to promote gifts in Wills – with a strong focus on digital. You will:

  • Lead acquisition campaigns to grow quality legacy leads, testing and learning through digital channels alongside our Digital Marketing Specialist
  • Plan and deliver a successful annual legacy supporter event
  • Collaborate with our Gifts in Wills Officer to gather stories, write copy, and create engaging content
  • Own relationships with key external suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure campaign success
  • Use Salesforce to analyse campaigns and deliver insights to improve future activity
  • Create visual assets using Canva to support smaller campaigns

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone proactive, creative, and organised, who is excited to make an impact in a values-led organisation.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong project management skills and experience delivering marketing campaigns (Essential)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience analysing campaign data to drive improvements (Essential)
  • Confidence in communicating with a range of stakeholders, including presenting
  • Experience using CRM systems (ideally Salesforce) and email marketing platforms (Essential)
  • Experience with Canva or similar content creation tools (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of legacy fundraising or the charity sector (Desirable)
