Join Our Supportive and Passionate Community Team – Female Support Worker (37.5hrs/week, York, Driver essential)
Are you someone who thrives on making a real difference in people's lives? We’re looking for a compassionate, dedicated female support worker to join our well-established community team in York. If you have a genuine desire to empower others and are ready for a fulfilling, people-centred role, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role
This is more than just a job – it's an opportunity to be part of a team that supports individuals with learning disabilities to live as independently and confidently as possible. You’ll work across a variety of settings in the York area, providing tailored support that helps people thrive in their own homes and communities.
You’ll build trusting relationships, encourage choice and independence, and offer meaningful, person-centred care. Every day is different, and every interaction counts.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who brings:
· A genuine passion for helping others to live well and achieve their goals
· Excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to build strong, respectful relationships
· Flexibility, as the role involves working a range of shifts – including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
· A positive, empathetic approach, and an understanding of the challenges people with learning disabilities may face
· A valid UK manual driving licence – you must be able to drive to support people in the community
Experience is always welcome, but what matters most is the right attitude. If you’re kind, proactive, and eager to learn, we’ll provide full training and support to help you thrive in your role.
