Mencap Trust Company - www.mencaptrust.org.uk - are looking for a New Trust Caseworker to join our friendly, impactful team working to support people with a learning disability and Autism to live happy and healthy lives.

The role is a full time (37.5 hrs per week, 9am – 5.30pm) based mainly at Mencap’s London office in Spitalfields, with potential to work from home one or two days per week. This post reports to the New Trusts Development Manager.
This role suits someone with a legal background and those looking to develop their technical knowledge in a new area of law. You will also need excellent communications skills and the ability to knowledgably and patiently support families through the technicalities and compliance aspects of setting up a trust.

About you
- Legal qualifications and/or experience.
- Excellent communication and customer services skills are very important and confidence when speaking to a variety of different people, including people with learning disabilities, the general public who wish to set up trusts and solicitors who are contacting us on behalf of their clients.
- You will have excellent administration skills, an eye for detail, with experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and CRM databases.
- You will have a positive, “can-do” attitude and love being part of a purpose-driven team.
- You will be self-motivated, will manage your own workload and carry out a variety of different tasks to achieve your individual and team targets.
- The ability to work with discretion and confidentiality is very important.
