Join us at Mencap as our Internal Comms and Engagement Officer and help shape how we connect with our colleagues across the organisation.
This is a full time (37.5 hours per week) role, Monday to Friday. We are flexible with location of the role, you may need to travel to various locations across England, Wales, and Scotland as and when needed.

About the Role
As our Internal Comms and Engagement Officer, you’ll play a vital role in connecting colleagues to Mencap’s vision and values. You’ll lead on key internal communication channels and engagement forums, ensuring our people receive clear, accessible, and inspiring information.
You will:
- Lead and manage internal communication channels and colleague engagement forums
- Create and curate engaging content from across the organisation
- Support and deliver communication and engagement plans for key projects and teams
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Mencap to maintain trust and credibility
- Champion innovation, bringing fresh ideas to improve how we communicate and engage
About You:
You are a natural communicator with a flair for storytelling and a passion for inclusive communication. You bring:
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a sharp eye for detail
- Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Creative design skills, with experience creating content for diverse audiences
- Great relationship-building abilities, with confidence to influence at all levels
