Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate a Waking Night Support Worker to join our incredible team in Omagh.

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.

From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

What we're looking for:

Someone who is caring and patient and has a genuine passion for supporting others.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Supporting people with their finances (paying bills, doing shopping etc.)
Supporting with Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day. This may include prompting the people we support to take their medication and assisting with bathing, showering and to use the bathroom.
- Using Positive Behaviour Support Strategies to help improve people’s quality of life, provide trauma-informed support, and manage emotionally intense situations.

Shift times:

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

Nights from 9pm - 9am

*All roles are subject to an enhanced disclosure check (Access NI Code of Practice and Policy on Rehabilitation of offenders available on request), and registration with NISCC and suitable references.
