Are you a dynamic, innovative PowerBI developer who is passionate about using data to drive positive change? Do you want to make a real difference in people's lives? If so, then we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Data and Applications Team as Senior BI Developer.   

At Mencap, we are passionate about becoming an evidence-led, data-informed organisation that uses actionable insights and great products to deliver our bold 2026–2030 strategy. 

Our Senior BI Developers work with data engineers, other BI developers and colleagues across the organisation who are passionate about using data and technology to maximise our ability to improve the lives of people with a learning disability.

What the role involves:

  • Creating and managing BI / analytics solutions which turn data into knowledge, enabling Mencap to become an even more information centric, data driven organisation;
  • Playing a key role in the design and development of the Microsoft PowerBI and Fabric platforms for Mencap;
  • Developing ETL packages, and visual prototypes side-by-side with the users;
  • Working closely with the Data Engineers and Architecture & Governance team to maintain and develop logical and physical data models and metadata;
  • Being subject matter expert in the BI area, sharing ideas and best practice across the team and the organisation for the benefit of the business.

You will have :

  • Several years' experience of delivering solutions using Microsoft PowerBI,
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL tools and
  • Great visualisation skills. 
Experience of Microsoft Fabric would be an advantage. 

This is a hybrid role. Flexible, with travel expected to the London and Peterborough offices on occasion.
