An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and creative Tutor to join our Supported Internship programme in Central London. This is a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday. This role is ideal for Higher Level Teaching Assistants currently working with SEN learners If you have at least Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths, along with a Level 3 or higher teaching assistant qualification, this role will provide you with the skills and knowledge to advance your career and become a specialised Tutor in SEN education. You will have the chance to join a friendly and supportive team, helping young people with learning disabilities, learning difficulties, and/or autism access the world of work.
Are you ready to deliver fun and engaging lessons by thinking outside the box? Great, because we need you! You will have at least one full day of planning and administrative time per week to support you in your role.
As a Tutor, you will focus on delivering the educational element of the Supported Internship programme. You will work closely with colleagues including skills coaches, employer engagement officers, programme coordinators, and welfare officers, who collaboratively form a team around the learners.

Essential
- Passion for supporting the progress of those with learning disabilities and / or learning difficulties
- Experience of supporting and / or mentoring others
- Experience of working with small groups
- A-C / 9-4 English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent)
- Good time management and planning skills
Desirable
- Experience of working with diverse groups
- Qualifications in education or teaching (DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd)
- Knowledge and experience of delivering and assessing functional skills in English and Maths up to Level 2
- Experience and knowledge of safeguarding
- Classroom management skills and strategies

All candidates offered an interview for this role will be needed to provide evidence of their GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) as well as their education training (if applicable).
