We are looking for a Relief Support Worker to join our Service based in Ipswich.
Shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep ins, weekends, and bank holidays. Shift patterns vary greatly depending on the individuals needs and personalised 1-1 and shared support hours. Sleep ins are required in two flats on a rota’d basis.
You will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £61.20 for any sleep in shifts carried out. The payment for sleep ins is non-contractual.
About our Service
In our service we support ten people across six different flats in a little cul-de-sac. We provide varying levels of support some people we support for an hour a day whilst others require support twenty-four hours a day. Every shift really is very different. Three people we support have their own cars and like their Support Workers to drive them to visit different places such as the beach or zoo.
The people we support have a lot of 1-1 hours which are to be used for activities that are meaningful to them like: going to church on a Sunday, help with cleaning, going banger racing, visiting the zoo, going to the pub. Most people like to go out most days whatever the weather.
What does a Relief Support Worker do?
As a Relief Support Worker, you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.

- Excellent communication and record keeping - to support people to keep detailed records of any support they have received including writing daily notes, support with medication and Mar sheets, support with finances and personal money records as well as food and fluid charts.
