The role of a Support Worker is varied where no 2 days are the same and very importantly the role is very rewarding. You will support adults with a range of disabilities to lead a fulfilling and enriched life which they choose. You will support individuals with a person centred approach following their individual assessments and support plans. You will be required to work as part of a small friendly team and at times work on your own initiative.
Our Supported Living house is staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Currently there are 3 individuals living in the property, a married couple and 1 other lady. The individuals do a range of activities including maintaining their home with support staff, attending day centres, voluntary jobs, shopping, going on days out, eating out, meeting family and friends, the list is endless.
Domiciliary is currently made up of 4 people we support who live in their own homes. Each person is an individual and their support is again person centred to their needs. The support will be varied from supporting with maintaining their home, support with shopping and meal planning, support with post, support to access the community and wellbeing checks. Once again the list is endless and will vary from one day to another. Due to the rural location of the service you must have your own transport as there are no public transport links to the area.
Any questions, please feel free to call the Service Manager Nicky Revill on 07950 450685.
