We support a gentleman is in his early 60's who has a learning disability. He lives in a shared house with other residents who have a learning disability too.
He is a lovely gentleman who enjoys a cup of tea and a piece of cake. He is a very quite gentleman who doesn't speak a lot but communicates through sounds and gestures. He enjoys going for a short stroll in the park, and having a drink and a piece of cake in a local cafe when it's quiet - he doesn't like busy places.
He doesn't have many visitors so seeing a volunteer every other month would really make a difference.
Visits will take place at home initially, but once you get to know him you can go out for a stroll accompanied by support staff. He would benefit from a visitor who is calm and understanding.
He will really enjoy spending time with a friendly volunteer like you.
