Do you enjoy crafting and cake? Good conversation?
We are looking for a friendly, approachable, calm and chatty volunteer to join our friendly team in Crookemoor in Sheffield. We are looking for a volunteer to share their time with a lady who has a learning disability in our service, who would like to do some crafting activities with you. The volunteer role is flexible and the days and times will be agreed with the volunteer and the service.
As a volunteer you will need to be:
- Willing to learn new skills
- Open to learning more about learning disability

Mencap are strongly encouraging all our colleagues to have the Covid-19 vaccine as a way to help protect each other and the people we support. This is especially important in direct support roles as evidence is starting to grow that the vaccine could help stop the spread of the virus, as well as protecting the person vaccinated from getting very ill.
In addition, it is mandatory that you take a lateral flow test on the day of your volunteering.
