About Mencap

About the team

Mencap’s Lifestyles and Work team delivers projects and programmes based around employment and leisure for people with learning disabilities.

Learners are based in the Leeds and Bradford areas.

Mencap are strongly encouraging all our colleagues to have the Covid-19 vaccine as a way to help protect each other and the people we support. This is especially important in direct support roles as evidence is starting to grow that the vaccine could help stop the spread of the virus, as well as protecting the person vaccinated from getting very ill.

What difference will I make?

1.4 million people in the UK have a learning disability.

Mencap is the leading voice of learning disability. Everything we do is about valuing and supporting people with a learning disability, and their families and carers.

Volunteering with us is YOUR opportunity to help us achieve this, while having the chance to develop your skills, meet new people and join a passionate and dedicated team.
