It is an exciting time to join Golden Lane Housing as we continue to build relationships and deliver an excellent service to our internal and external customers. This is a full time permanent contract and is home based with travel.

Due to successful growth of Golden Lane Housing services, we are expanding our Asset Team, who look after our properties across the UK and have the following Property Surveyor role available in the North East of England, postcodes to include, but may not be limited to:

  • DL7 (North Yorkshire)
  • S63 (South Yorkshire)
  • DE4 (Derbyshire)
  • WS7 (Staffordshire)
  • DN36 (North Lincolnshire) 

Working as part of a team and a self-starter, the candidate will be able to undertake a successful implementation and delivery of professional building surveying through the completion of a range of building surveying instructions, including Property MoT’s.

Take responsibility for the management of client and project teams to deliver high quality and timely building surveying services.

Deliver projects from inception to completion with the minimum of supervision, to meet the project objectives, in accordance with company policies.

Projects to include but are not restricted to:

  • Technical building advice
  • Planned preventative maintenance inspections, analysis, and reporting
  • Preparation of schedule of dilapidations and negotiating on behalf of Landlord or Tenant
  • Manage void works and delivery of planned programmes of work.
  • Preparation of specifications and schedules of work for planned investment and corrective works in line with regulations and legislation. Understanding of CDM regulations, essential
  • Have accountability for maintaining the stock condition survey, which details the condition of GLH properties.

For this position, it is anticipated that you will have an HNC, or equivalent, qualification in maintenance or property related discipline. This role will provide technical expertise, with a holistic approach to asset management.

Must hold a full driving licence and own access to vehicle availability, as extensive travel may be required.

We need someone who can hit the ground running and has strong experience of working in a similar environment.

This role is extremely varied so requires an individual that can multi-task, prioritise, take direction and work on their own initiative.
