We are looking for relief staff to join our team supporting a lady with autism and epilepsy in her own home. You will be supporting with personal care, health appointments and medication, meal planning and preparation along with all aspects of supporting her to maintain her home. This will include cleaning, laundry, shopping, reporting repairs, ensuring health and safety checks are complete and her home is as safe as it can be. In addition you will be supporting her to access the community and take part in social activities she enjoys. You need to be flexible, reliable and committed to providing a caring and supportive service whilst promoting independence and encouraging her to do as much for herself as she is able.
There are minimal incidents of challenging behaviour but you will be trained in how to respond. The person we support has their own car so a driver is preferable.
Shift patterns vary and relief staff are needed to cover day shifts, sleep-ins and waking nights.
