Are you looking for something part time? 20 – 25 hours per week.

If so, Mencap want to hear from you today.  We are looking for friendly and positive individuals with a “Can do attitude” to join our team as a Support Worker.

Driver as preferably for this post as you will also work out in the community

What does the role involve?

As a Support worker supporting adults with Learning disabilities you there to encourage and aid independence. We are looking for someone who is committed to providing quality support whilst encouraging the people we support to gain valuable life skills.

  • Preparing meals
  • Household chores
  • Weekly shopping trips
  • Managing finances
  • Personal care and their wellbeing
  • Taking part in activities, hobbies and interests

This role will involve working as part of team and requires someone who is kind, thoughtful, honest and develops positive relationships with those around them.

You will need to be flexible as shifts as the shift vary, rota’s are done 2 to 3 weeks in advance so that you will always know what shifts you are booked in for to be able to plan ahead.
