Experienced in Asset Management for a large company or organisation? We are currently looking for an Assistant IT Asset Manager to be based in Peterborough.

Mencap’s IT Asset Management function helps the organisation make the best decisions concerning IT asset purchases. The Assistant IT Asset Manager will follow direction from the IT Asset Manager and support in the co-ordination of day to day operational activities related to deploying, maintaining and reporting on our hardware and software assets.

Responsibilities include governance using the ITSM (IT Service Management) tool set concerning IT Asset Management; applied in managing, monitoring, and reporting on IT assets and inventory.Ensuring we maintain an up to date detailed inventory of our software and hardware assets via the asset register and Configuration Management Database(CMDB). This will include laptops, desktops, mobile devices, broadband and telecoms lines, infrastructure and server hardware, software licensing, service agreements, warranties and contract information.

The Assistant IT Asset Manager will assist with asset audits and collating data.  You will sample and audit service quality and compliance in line with percentages and targets agreed with IT Asset Manager, and report promptly to IT Asset Manager, escalating to the IT Service Delivery Manager on service failures or risks as appropriate. 

The Assistant IT Asset Manager will be accountable for the knowledge scripts, work instructions and documentation relating to asset management process and reporting.
