We are currently recruiting Support Worker's to work with several individuals in their own homes and out in the community.
We are able to offer full-time contracts of 37.5 hours per week or part time contracts; all on a permanent basis. This will be within the Bury St Edmunds area. 
Flexibility is a must as you will need to be available to work across various shifts to include; days, evenings, and weekends. Shifts can be discuss in more detail at interview stage. 
This role does require you have access to your own car and hold business insurance on that vehicle as you will be transporting the people we support out and about each day. 
Being a Domiciliary Care Support Worker with Mencap is really about enabling the individuals you are supporting to take part in the activities they choose and lead a fulfilled life. We support people who have a learning disability and they all have different levels of needs.
Our Support Workers get involved in daily activities such as bowling, food shopping, walking, going to the gym, arts and crafts, wood work related tasks and ensuring that people we support get to voluntary roles in the community safely. 
Our Support Workers need to have a calm nature, be encouraging and above all you need to be patient. You will always be looking out for the safety of the people we support, when out and about, this is essential.
