Everyone wants a purposeful job - to do something meaningful. At Mencap, we can give you that. You will have opportunities to develop as a person, colleague, leader and activist.

You’ll make new friends and feel inspired to reach your potential. We will ask a lot of you - but you’ll get back so much more. With us, it is never ‘just a job’.

In return for your hard work and passion, we can give you real meaning and purpose in your work.

Do you want to make a positive difference to people’s lives?

As a support worker, flexibility is key for both yourself and for the service, as you may be required to work a variety of different shifts throughout the week and weekend, including mornings (ideal for you early risers!) afternoons and evenings.

The individuals in the service, need support with their medication, personal care, finances and daily living tasks- although they like to be as independent as possible!
The people within the service have a busy schedule and love to be out and about but will require support when going out in the community.
The adults we support enjoy a variety of hobbies which include, cinema, shopping, eating out and attending discos- Who doesn’t love a boogie?!

We are looking to recruit a compassionate, outgoing and enthusiastic individual to work in our three bedroom supported living service in Wombourne. At this service we currently support 3 positive adults ranging from their 50’s – late 80’s, who have a learning disability, two females and one male. This post is temporary and will be until January 6th 2019.

For further details of the people you will be supporting, please click on the“additional information” attachments at the bottom of this advertisement.

One of the most amazing things about being a Support Worker is that anyone can do it! As long as you have a positive attitude and want to improve the lives of those with a learning disability. You will always have another support worker on site to assist you with your duties. In return for your hard work we will support you through our award winning training to help you progress in your career with us!

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
