We are looking for a caring and positive support worker to join our service in the village of Thorpe Willoughby, just outside Selby, where we support four men two have a mild learning disability and two have more profound learning disabilities. There is 24-hour support in the service. There is currently a staff team of 14 so you will be joining a supportive and strong team.

It is really important to the people we support that they are able to see their families regularly, there are 3 motability cars at the service and the people we support are reliant on support staff to drive them to 1 to 1 activitiesTherefore, drivers are preferable.

The four need your help to live as independently as possible they need help with keeping their house clean, going shopping, cooking, attending activities like gardening and art projects so they can be a part of their local community. Personal care is a large part of the role along with manual handling.

The shifts usually range from 7am to 11pm, however you must be willing to work flexibly as and when required. You will work on a rota basis throughout the week and at weekends including Bank Holidays.
