Everyone wants a purposeful job - to do something meaningful. At Mencap, we can give you that. You will have opportunities to develop as a person, colleague, leader and activist.

You’ll make new friends and feel inspired to reach your potential. We will ask a lot of you - but you’ll get back so much more. With us, it is never ‘just a job’.

In return for your hard work and passion, we can give you real meaning and purpose in your work.

We are looking to recruit a Support Worker for 15 hours per week to join our dedicated team of support staff in our Kettering service.

You will be supporting three ladies with a learning disability at the service. This might be anything from cooking and cleaning, to going to the supermarket or taking part in leisure activities. You will help them to lead the life they choose. We focus on person-centred support, tailored to individuals needs.

You will need to be flexible. Typical shifts are rota’d from 7:00 am – 10pm and Sleep-in’s start at 10:00pm but these may vary & may be spread across the week/weekends and include bank holidays.

You will need to have:
• Good people skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines and within a constantly changing environment.
• Ability to complete paperwork.
• Must be willing to participate in sleep in’s.

The best thing about being a support worker is that anyone can do it, as long as you have positive mind-set and are attentive at all times. In return for your hard work we will support you through our award winning training to help you progress in your career with us!

Within the additional information section we have included profiles for some of the services you may work across. This will give you a better understanding of the role requirements.

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
