Job Advert
We are looking for a Lead Fundraising Volunteer to support a team of volunteers who will be raising money for Mencap at Chester Station on Friday 20th December between 10am and 4pm.
You will be volunteering from 10am-4pm and will be the main point of contact for our Area Fundraising Manager. You will ensure other volunteers are confident and competent in their role and will give them a briefing at the start of their shift (this will be given to you by our Area Fundraising Manager). You will always have at least one other volunteer with you at all times and will also be responsible for counting and banking the money raised after the event.
The briefing will also include basic information about Mencap and some information about people with a learning disability, in case you are asked what we do as a charity.
  • The opportunity to meet new people and be part of a diverse team
  • An introduction to Mencap
  • The opportunity to learn new skills
  • To feel appreciated and valued for my contribution
  • Full support from Daisy, your local area fundraising manager
