A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and passionate individual to join our South based Finance Team.  We are looking for a Business Finance Analyst (BFA) to join a committed team of Business Finance Analysts on a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Permanent contract. The offices are based in Luton, Fareham and Taunton, and we are flexible on the role being based at either of these 3 locations.

The BFA is the first point of contact for the operational teams, to provide financial expertise and advice on a wide range of finance queries. You will deliver support and guidance to operational managers ensuring Mencap services run at a financially viable level. This will include:

•A full understanding of the funding streams and contracts held

•Debt management

•Income and expenditure analysis


•Providing training to non-finance managers

•Building strong working relationship with the operational teams

You will be required to carry out internal audits on financial processes within the region, analysing audits results and advising of managers of any corrective action required.

We are looking for someone that is passionate about numbers and the people we support, you will have a keen eye for detail with some truly brilliant interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to plan and prioritise your own work, whilst at the same time achieving deadlines, is essential. The ability to work independently is important but you will also need to be supportive and work as part of a team. Ideally you will be working towards the AAT qualification, although this is not essential.
