About Mencap

We want a world where people with a learning disability are valued equally, listened to and included. Everything we do is about making this world a reality.

Job Advert

You will spend time with Robin, visiting him 6 times a year.

Robin is in his early 50s and lives in a nice shared house with a number of other housemates, who also have learning disabilities.

He is a gentle and adventurous chap who enjoys his independence and loves visiting Cathedrals, Churches, museums and other places of interest in Eastbourne and further afield.  He also relishes looking for bargains in second hand shops.  He is well informed of what happens in his community and loves nothing more than listening to the local radio stations.

You will spend time with Robin joining in with his favourite activities. Visits can take place at home but he would love it if you can join him on his adventures out and about.

Robin will enjoy spending time with a friendly volunteer like you. By visiting every other month, you will make a huge difference.

You will be introduced and get to know him with the support of Mencap staff.
