  • Are you reliable, fun and free twice a month? 
If you can answer yes to any of these questions then you could be exactly who we're looking for!
You will help one of the ladies we support to go dancing more often. She loves dancing and enjoys going to different classes, but she doesn’t always get to go as often as she likes. 
You will get to know the person we support alongside Mencap staff and we hope that as a Volunteer Dancing Sidekick you will help someone to do what they love, as well as improve their well being and confidence.
To be a Volunteer Dancing Sidekick you need to be:
  • 18 or over
  • Interested in dancing
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Good at communicating and listening
  • Able to volunteer on a weekly or fortnightly basis for 2 - 4 hours. 
Please note we will need to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for all successful applicants.
