Would you like to finish work each day knowing you have made a difference? We are currently recruiting got caring and positive Support Workers to join our team, supporting individuals with a Learning Disability.

The people you will be supporting love a variety of activities including Music, Watching Television, Dancing, Shopping, Baking, involving in Meal Preparation, Art and Craft, Painting, Gardening, Socialising, going on days’ trip, Cinema, being part of their community and can at times have a hectic schedule. All of the above play a significant part in their life.

As well as the team that support them, family members are very involved in support. Being social and having conversations about things that are of interest and daily life is something they truly value. However, crowded or noisy environment are not fun and that is something that some of the people we support find difficult to manage.

Indoor activities include Music sessions, one to one interactive session, art and craft, painting, involving in meal preparation and laundry, Life Skills and Television. We support a variety of people from different cultures so it would be helpful to have some cooking skills and idea's in this area. You should also be willing to support one of the individual we support using a hoist for transferring and support on wheel chair both at home and in the community. You will be provided with adequate training to enable you do you work confidently which include manual handling people which covers how to use a hoist, emergency first aid and more during your induction training.

The role

You must be willing to work flexibly as and when required. You will work on a rota basis throughout the week and at weekends including Bank Holidays.
