Role Description

Would you like to help people with a learning disability to get prepared for the working world, become more confident and have fun?

We are looking for friendly and reliable volunteers to help out at our Job Club that takes place every Thursday and supports people with learning disabilities into work.

You will support people with learning disabilities to enjoy and benefit from a range of activities within a job club setting. 


The support you offer could include:


  • Helping to explain and achieve a task with a small group

  • Support someone on a one–to-one basis

You will help participants to better engage with the job club, and help them to learn new skills such as CV writing, job searching and completing job applications.  As well as building confidence and independence. 

Volunteering in this role is a great way to make a difference to someone life and help prepare them for the working world.
To be a Job Club Volunteer you need to be:
  • Over 18 years of age
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Good at communicating and listening

The Harrow Job Club runs on Thursdays  from 10:00am – 3:00pm.


Ideally you will volunteer on a weekly basis. We also ask that you commit to at least 6 months of volunteering.
