Job Advert

We support 4 ladies, who have a learning disability and live in our supported living service in Grimsby. We are looking to grow our team of enthusiastic, fun honest and reliable support workers. 

We currently have two contracts available. One for 16 hours per week and one for 25 hours per week.

The people we support are all in their 40’s – 50’s and have a very active social life. They require support around personal care and taking medication but more than anything they want to live a happy life being supported by you. This group love to stay healthy and spend a lot of their time swimming or at the gym or going for meals and discos. They want a support worker who isn’t afraid to jump in the deep end…literally.

Supporting someone with their daily life is not a 9-5 job. You will need to be able to work across a range of different days and shift patterns, including weekends, bank holidays and some sleep in shifts (Payment for sleep ins is competitive and compliant with National Living Wage requirements). We realise that your quality time is important too, so your rota is prepared well in advance – Got a request, something special going on? Your manager will certainly try to help you meet it.

An enhanced DBS will be required for each successful candidate (Paid for by Mencap, T&Cs apply)
