We are currently looking to expand our team of relief support workers in Chelmsley Wood where you will be supporting people who have a learning disability.
 

In our Chelmsley Wood service everyone has their own requirements but the type of support you will provide would be things such as shopping, cooking, eating and drinking, laundry, personal care, cleaning, finances, medication administration. You would also support them to organise activities and access the community to socialise and for leisure.

Being a support worker isn’t just about making day to day life great, it’s about being a part of the fun! You would be supporting with accessing their community for leisure and recreation, and to maintain relationships with people who are important to them. Some hobbies and interests include – going to the theatre, cinema, shopping, playing bingo, and going to the disco.

Support workers must be flexible in the hours they can work, as support can be required 24 hours a day. You will work on a relief basis covering hours throughout the week, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins as well (Payment for sleep ins is competitive and compliant with National Living Wage requirements).

An enhanced DBS will be required for each successful candidate (Paid for by Mencap, T&Cs apply)
