About Mencap

Mencap is the leading voice of learning disability. Everything we do is about valuing and supporting people with a learning disability, and their families and carers.

Volunteering with us is YOUR opportunity to help us achieve this, whilst having the chance to develop your skills, meet new people and support a passionate and dedicated team.

Role Description
Run Heaton Park is an 5km and 10km run taking place on 13th May 2018, it is open to runners of all ages and abilities. There will be a 1km children’s run taking place first that families can do together and we will have 400 runners taking part overall.
It is the first time Mencap has had a run in Manchester’s Heaton Park so it’s a great opportunity to get involved and help make it a huge success!

We need you there to give directions to the runners, hand out water, wave flags, cheer and make lots of noise to keep our fantastic participants going! Once they’re finished we’ll need you to help hand out medals and give thanks on behalf of Mencap.

Mencap Run Heaton Park is on Sunday the 13th May 2018, we will need volunteers at the park from 8am until to 12pm.
